Who am I?

I am a media literacy educator and advocate. I teach at Brooklyn College. I also write curricular materials, resources, and conduct workshops. From 2012-2025, I was the proud Executive Director of the National Association for Media Literacy Education, an organization I still work with and support. I am a proud New Yorker. I love my dog, my husband, and my kids (in no particular order). I love to read, practice yoga, go to the theater, watch baseball, and think about everything and anything that has to do with media, pop culture, parenting, and being alive at this particularly complex and overwhelming time. I have lots of thoughts about lots of things. I am going to share them here.
